Talent Management System

V2Soft has developed several web and enterprise applications for clients worldwide. ASP.Net & J2EE Technologies have been used extensively in our application development over the past few years. V2Soft designed and developed a web based solution for a leading Talent Management company for maintaining talent information. V2Soft spent time understanding the requirements and designed a very efficient web based system which enabled the users all over USA to be able to log in and access a centralized database. The following are the salient features of the application:

Asset Management Application

V2Soft was involved  in the development of an Asset Management system for a leading automaker to track and manage the life span and service history of scan tools.
One of the salient features of this application is that it interacts and scraps data from websites as well as gets its feeds from various data inputs.
This application was developed using J2EE technology with MySQL database.

Single Sign On

V2Soft has developed a solution for a major financial institution which accommodates a single action of user authentication and authorization, permitting a user to access all computers and systems where he has access permission, without the need to enter multiple passwords.

One of the major advantages of this application is that it reduces human error, a major component of systems failure and is therefore is highly desirable. The purpose of the project was to move toward an industry-standard solution that provides robust authentication capabilities and allows the financial institution to retain active control and support of the production environment.

The applications deployed under this project are designed to provide authentication, customer self-service, and registration functionality to web center users. From a web customer standpoint this translates into new screens for login, logout, ability to retrieve a forgotten user ID, ability to reset a forgotten password, ability to update your security profile, and new registration screens & processes.

In addition to integrating with 3rd party components, a new J2EE registration server was built and will be deployed as a part of the project to integrate the new system with existing applications.

Sales Forecasting Application

A Fortune 500 Company was in need of a customized sales forecasting application. V2Soft carefully studied the client's requirement and came up with an application that not only met the clients requirement but exceeded their expectations.

The application developed was web based, in which the companies' future sales numbers including the consulting hours that their employees work are tracked on a monthly basis for Sales and Revenue Forecasting.  This application was developed on Linux platform.

Solution for porting VAX Cobol Application to PC Cobol Application

V2soft developed an application to automate Porting of VAX Cobol Application to PC Cobol Application for a public limited corporation. This project involved Porting of about 1000 programs on written to VAX/VMS Cobol to PC Cobol using the porting tool as well as 400 data files.

As part of the application a rulebook was created by Cobol experts by carefully examining the coding patterns and the differences that would be required to be made so that it would run correctly on IBM PC running Cobol on a Novell Network. In Parallel a generic rule based utility program was developed which would have a pluggable feature to plug in rules. The rules would run in a managed Container environment and would have access to lots of functions provided by the interfaces published by the container so that they could ‘act’ on a resource being scanned at the moment. The order of execution and interdependency of the rules were all handled by the Container, which was called provided the rule execution environment. Services that it provided were Virtual memory management, Word processing functions, scanning functions, insert, update, delete etc. The Rule Manager would provide a user interface to customize some features of any rules if it offered any.

The rules from the rulebook were then coded and all the program files were converted in one run.

Business Vehicle Finance

Business Vehicle Finance Project is an Internet  based application  used at point of sale by dealers of United States and Canada in financing the trucks and busses. Through this application dealers prepare a quote, generate documents for financing using the quote prepared. The system has other supporting modules to administer the application. This application also supports the dealers to submit the credit application to the ASAP system for there customers.

This was developed as a three tier application with UDB as the database, Web Sphere as Application Server, IHS as Web Server and Clients used browser to access the application on the net. The application has been developed using the J2EE, with MVC architecture.

Employee-Contractor Portal

V2Soft has developed an employee/contractor portal for one of the fortune 500 companies. This portal serves as the entry point to most of the HR applications. The portal is available both internally and externally to all employees and contractors of the company.

The application is 3-tierd with Web, App and DB layers. The traffic between the layers are controlled and policed by firewalls. The physical servers are placed in a high availability, clustered network The servers themselves are load-balanced and highly available.

Portal for CPAs

V2Soft developed an application to integrate a New York based CPA firm's payroll, accounting, client registration and other tax forms into one application. This application was developed using our highly successful Hybrid Model.

A web interface was developed to facilitate the interactions between the various support teams in the firm. This three-tier architecture on Linux platform has resulted in cost and time savings for the firm. V2soft also provided remote software management and operations for the customers secure accounting software in the US.

Business Place Exchange for Transportation Industry

V2Soft has developed a web based private business place exchange for the Shipping and Transportation industry. Shippers, Carriers, and Customers use this portal to automate and electronically transact business with each other reducing the overall operating cost incurred doing standard business process such as Booking and Tracking of Containers as well as sending shipping instructions to the Carriers. Since the entire workflow is online and electronic the latency time was reduced substantially, improving the overall customer service that the Carriers could provide to their customers.

eCommerce Portal

V2Soft's delivery center designed and developed a web based eCommerce portal for a travel agency. The application uses Microsoft Technology for the front end and it goes against Sabre's large Main frame Databases in addition to interfacing with several Airline Consolidator databases.

The salient features of the application are:

  • It is a B2C portal for high usage
  • Retrieves and presents data from multiple databases
  • eCommerce credit card processing system
  • facilitates automated data load process for consolidator

Sales Industry Reporting System

Sales Industry Reporting System  is a web-based system  that was developed using J2EE and Struts framework to provide official corporate Sales & Stock numbers. This system also has several stand-alone Java applications responsible for data extraction from flat files and updating the database tables. This web application comprises of Web reporting components and maintenance screens. Web reporting components are responsible for generating daily and monthly sales reports in PDF and excel formats. Web based maintenance screens are used to perform system administration, vehicle and non-vehicle information and data release procedures.

Service Reminder Project

V2Soft developed a new application for one of automakers, which facilitated the new owners of Vehicles to receive free service like oil change, free overall checkups and more at certain mileage points.

This application has the capability print out PDF reports containing the information about customers whose vehicles might be due for service. The dealer personnel in turn can call the customers and remind them of services that their vehicle might be due for. This application was very helpful to the dealers in planning their activities in their service bay.

Marketing Portal

A marketing portal was entirely developed by V2Soft for a leading automaker's Sales and Marketing department.  This portal provides dealers with an option to select from a list of several vendors to buy products ranging from office supplies to insurances and more.  These services were provided by the vendors at a discounted negotiated rate. 

Design patterns, and standard J2EE technology was used with JRUN Application Server and MySQL databases.
